Our Approach to AI Safety in Productivity Tools

Flowdesk Team

AI is transforming productivity software. As we build more AI features into Flowdesk, we want to be completely transparent about how we think about safety, privacy, and user trust.

Our Three Principles

User control comes first. Every AI feature in Flowdesk can be turned off. AI suggestions are always clearly labeled as AI-generated. We never auto-apply AI changes — the user always reviews and confirms.

Your data stays yours. We do not use customer data to train AI models. Period. Your workspace content is processed only to provide the features you've enabled, and we use enterprise-grade encryption for data in transit and at rest.

Human oversight is non-negotiable. AI in Flowdesk is designed to augment human judgment, not replace it. Our AI features suggest, draft, and organize — but humans make the decisions.

How We Build AI Features

Every AI feature goes through our safety review process before launch. This includes red-team testing, bias auditing, and user research with diverse populations. We also maintain a public log of AI incidents and our responses.

Data Processing

When AI processes your content, it happens in isolated, ephemeral environments. No customer data persists beyond the request lifecycle. We use a mix of on-device processing for simple tasks and cloud processing for complex ones, always with explicit user consent.

Looking Ahead

As AI capabilities advance, our principles won't change — but our practices will evolve. We're committed to regular transparency reports, independent audits, and open dialogue with our users about how AI should work in their tools.
