Keyboard Shortcuts That Will Change How You Use Flowdesk

The fastest Flowdesk users rarely touch their mouse. Here are the keyboard shortcuts that will transform your workflow.

The Essential Five

Cmd+K — The command palette. This is the single most powerful shortcut in Flowdesk. Search for pages, run commands, create new content, switch workspaces — all from one input field.

Cmd+Shift+P — Quick page creation. Opens a new page with your cursor ready to type the title. Hit Enter and start writing immediately.

Cmd+/ — Toggle the sidebar. More screen real estate when you need to focus, quick navigation when you need to move around.

Cmd+E — Toggle between editing and reading mode. Perfect for reviewing your work without accidentally changing things.

Cmd+Shift+L — Lock the current page. Prevents accidental edits on important reference documents.

Block-Level Operations

Tab / Shift+Tab — Indent and outdent blocks. Works on any block type including headings, lists, and code blocks.

Cmd+Shift+Up/Down — Move the current block up or down. Rearrange your content without cut and paste.

Cmd+D — Duplicate the current block. Great for creating similar structures quickly.

/command — Type a forward slash anywhere to open the block menu. Insert databases, callouts, toggles, embeds, and more.

Navigation Shortcuts

Cmd+[ / Cmd+] — Navigate back and forward through your page history, just like a browser.

Cmd+Shift+F — Global search across your entire workspace. Results update as you type and show context snippets.

Pro Tip: Chaining Commands

The real power comes from chaining shortcuts together. Cmd+K to find a page, Enter to open it, Cmd+Shift+P to create a linked sub-page, then start typing. Four keystrokes to go from anywhere to productive writing in a new, properly linked page.

Print this list and keep it nearby for a week. By day three, your fingers will know the way.
